What I really liked, is that Shane is a salesman, but he also is a technician who works on the units they install. We had two other estimates with big name stores, and neither of those representatives were very knowledgeable about their products as far the installation went. I was very unimpressed with them. I really like that Shane actually works with the units too, he is selling what he does. Shane worked quickly and efficiently and I'll definitely use them again. Generally, any time I call Affordable Air, the phone gets picked up right away, and if I need to leave a message, I usually get called back within the first 30 minutes, which is nice because it gets really hot where we live, and if you're air conditioner is not working, or something else is going on, you'd like a call back real quick! Even on the weekends I've called, they call back, and they usually come the same day. I've had a really good experience with them.

My wife and I bought this house in 2007 and in 2008 purchased a new AC/Heater system. We went with a company that came highly recommended to us at the time. About 2 years later, our heater wasn't working but the company had gone out of business. I went through the Yellow Pages and found Affordable Air listed first so I gave them a call. They came out and worked on it. It was the coldest spell we've had here in about 20 years or so, and we needed our heater to work. It wasn't a simple fix. The people at Affordable Air are bluntly honest about things. This situation of mine was very odd, because the brand is the best you can buy and it is supposed to have very few problems. Shane worked on it, and worked on it and worked on it and kept in contact with his support tech group all the while. Finally, he was able to resolve it for us. They are responsive, professional and very nice people to work with. I've recommended them to others, and will continue to use them for future jobs.

I have several rent houses, a lake house as well as my own residence. Several years ago(more than 5 I think) I needed some repairs on a unit installed by another company several years prior. The installing company was unresponsive and since the renter had a newborn with cold weather coming in I had my wife find someone in the phone book. Long story short, she found Affordable Air and the rest is history. He not only fixed the heater, he found that the part needed was still covered under the manf. warranty. Since I wasn't there when he did repairs I wouldn't have known this had he not told me when I got the bill. That is honesty beyond compare. Needless to say I only call Shane when I have HVAC problems and I feel 100 confident to recommend him to everyone.

I've got a long history with Affordable Air, and I can't even count the AC projects I've had them do. They've done residential work, work on a majority of our stores, work on our home, and even a rental home, I think. We've worked directly with Shane, and yeah obviously we keep we keep coming back because of his great service and product. I've got a high-tech, state of the art AC setup with my house, and it's made a huge difference. I've gone from dual climates in my home to a single climate throughout. I just set the thermostat and it does it all. It's really, really easy. Shane's actually doing a new project for us right now with a new product I haven't seen yet. It's multiple application and all unique. I'd definitely recommend him. He's done the work long enough, and I've learned to just call him and it gets done.

Shane, owner of Affordable A/C, was thorough in assessing our air conditioner needs. We were replacing a 19-year old unit. He revisited our home a couple of times to measure and make sure he could provide the best SEER system possible with the space constraints that we have. He was prompt and on-time for all of his appointments. Shane also recommended a new NEST thermostat, which we are enjoying, and are hopeful will save us even more on our electric bills. I chose Affordable A/C over other bids from larger companies because I wanted a company whose owner would be more "hands-on" and oversee the installation of our unit--as proper installation is the key.

I had a company coming out for the past 2yrs. doing check ups on my system with everything going great. No problems or issues till this winter,all of a sudden I need a heat kit and a new heating system.It was not recommended I turn on my heat on at all in 40degree weather along with my a/c going out soon so they recommend all kinds of options that went from 450.00 to 5000. dollars. Question was why didn't they see this coming the last visit 6mo.earlier. Answer was some of those guys no longer work for us.So I called Affordable Air,Shane took my call first thing Mon. a.m. put me in line the same day needless to say my heat was tuned up ready and running with out emptying my bank account. It's kind of hot without AC. I only met Shane briefly, he seems to be a reliable guy from reviews, and he treated me fairly last time, however this time I was disappointed and have to vent... Our AC went out, 1 hot night, but all ok I thought, our unit is still under warranty. Day 1: Called at 10AM, got a 2PM appt., No Call-No Show. Called again at 4PM they said they came earlier and a man told them his AC worked fine (I was the only one home) said they'd be right over, but again No Call-No Show-No AC, another hot night... Day 2: 8AM asked if Shane would call me, No Call, called again at 9AM and Shane stated he came the day before, but a man answered the door and said their AC was working, so he left, (obviously wrong house, but he did not verify their name, verify the address with the man, or call me to verify my location at that time). I said ok, y'all knew at 4pm yesterday our appt. was missed, So we'll be first today? No. He (and his staff) kind of acted like I was bugging them even though I was polite and only called 3 x because they weren't calling me back. Although it wasn't my fault I wasn't at whatever address whenever he came, he said they were at another job already and I could either wait another day for him or call someone else, cause I was going to have to pay labor anyway... I called someone else, and I paid, cause its kind of hot without AC. Score is based on 2 service calls. I did get good service last year when Shane's employees installed our new units, no trouble finding my address or contacting me then, probably a fluke, maybe won't happen again. I wish everyone the best...

This was the first time I used Affordable Air, and everything turned out well. Shane Horton helped me set the appointment, and Russell (did the actual installation). They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. Every year, for the last four years, I've had to have my condensor unit repaired at the end of the summer. I actually shopped around with 3 or 4 other vendors before finding Affordable Air to, hopefully, resolve the issue once and for all. The quality in their customer service and knowledge was noticeable. The competing companies wanted to charge me $6000 to replace the whole system, and this was because they were only able to speculate on what the problem was. When I spoke with Shane, he definitely knew what he was talking about and identified the issue. The compressor in the condenser unit was causing the problem. Everything is working fine now, but I guess I'll really know next year. Affordable Air was a fast and efficient service. They provided same day service, and I would recommend them.

Affordable Air did a complete replacement of our indoor and outdoor heating and AC units. The appointment setup and installation was easy. The technician who did the service was prompt and professional. He did an excellent job and explained his work, and the how to operate the units. His workmanship was high quality. Since the installation I have noticed that the fan doesn't blow as strongly as I had expected. The temperature remains consistent. I am not sure if this is a flaw in the equipment, or if it is just how it works. Overall I thought that Affordable Air was honest, and that their prices were good for the level of their service.

i first want to say that i normally dont take the time to comment on services provided by any company but i thought i would give one today. shane the owner of the company was the guy who came out and took care of my sister inlaws a/c and he was very professional in the way he conducted business you wont find a more pleasant individual to deal with i highly recommend his company for your a/c problems. The folks at Affordable Air were so attentive. They arrived to my house on time. The crew got to the root of the problem and realized that the motherboard of my inside furnace needed to be replaced. They were not sure if they had a replacement in stock back at their warehouse but said if they did not, they would be sure to go find one. Fortunately, they had it in stock and came back the next day to finish the job. They were in and out within an hour. I had wonderful service!

I felt that the people at Affordable Air were honest and very professional! They were very timely in things like getting us a quote and getting the AC and heater units installed. They came recommended by someone I trust and had many good reviews as well! The main reason I like their service is that I feel that Shane was just really honest, and that he gave us some really good options and information on the different units. I called Affordable Air around 3:45pm today. The receptionist was super nice. Even though they were booked up for today they were able to squeeze me in and have a technician at my house by 4:30pm. How awesome was that! Mr. Horton was very professional and fixed my AC! He went above and beyond by instantly locating the problem, letting me know the solution, and repairing it in a timely manner. Great customer service! I strongly recommend their services. This will now be my go to For AC repairs.

I was referred by a friend who highly recommended Shane and she was right. I called the office and the person who answered was very friendly and made an appointment for the same day. In our old house, we would call Affordable Air whenever we need help with our air conditioner or furnace. When we purchased our new house, we called them to replace our entire system inside and out. New thermostat, inside furnace, and outside compressor. To start out I want to say that I contact a different AC company the night before and the tech said they couldn't help me because the quick disconnect was melted and I had to call an electrician. Affordable Air CC fixed the quick disconnect for me as well as diagnosing the issue I was having. The owner, Shane, was the one that came to my home and he was very professional, helpful and informative. I feel very comfortable with the work he has provided and I do not fear the the quick disconnect will melt again.

In two month time Shane and the Afforbable crew replaced two ACs in record time. The price was below what I had been paying for my commercial bldgs. Then came Hurricane Harvey. Shane went with me to survey the damage to our bldgs and ACs. He recommended pulling the freon and bringing in the AC units from a badly damaged bldg in AP. They are now safe in his yard.

We were having some issues with the compressor in our unit, so we reached out to Affordable Air, a company we found through the BBB. They were very prompt with our appointment, and on a Friday, the gentleman that came out spent a few hours diagnosing the problem with our compressor, and came to the conclusion that our unit would have to be replaced. They were here first thing Monday morning, and replaced our unit. They were prompt, courteous, and respectable. This was our first time using them, and we will for sure, use them again in the future.

I can't thank Shane and his two technicians enough for the work they did. Shane came out earlier in the year and gave us different options for what we could afford to do at that time. Basically we had a leak in the coils and we could refill the system to see how long it would last, or replace the system. We chose the first knowing that it may only last a few months but it allowed my wife and I to prepare for the additional cost and also allow us to shop around. We found out very quickly that not only could Affordable A/C get us the system we wanted earlier than anyone else in the area, but they gave us the best price. Shane stood by the quote that he gave us months ago unlike others who gave us "their best price", but these other companies wanted us to call them before we chose anyone else to see if they could possible discount it. Basically we felt that the others were no being upfront and honest like Affordable A/C. They installed our complete system before our house even got warm. Their technicians were not only professional, but also very thorough when it came to cleaning everything they removed. If you are reading this don't waste time and give Affordable A/C a call. They moved an outdoor compressor unit around the corner of the house to the side yard. Disconnect, move slab (OMG), reconnect and all that goes with it. They did a fine job and charged me HALF of what they're nearest competitor bid. They saved me as much as they charged me. How's that!
